Victory!

Yes, victory is very much in hand for those that fall down, but refuse to remain down. Someone I became to admire because of the type of a man and human being he was and what he stood for passed away Thursday morning. I received the news shortly after waking up Friday morning. It has been a tough weekend as my heart morns, and my thought are with the family members that are heart-broken by the loss of  a special loved one. It is as though I have lost a family member. I will forever remember the conversations we shared together. Losing loved ones hasn't gotten any easier to deal with no matter the amount of times one may experience the lost of someone close, but it is an understanding that the pain we suffer shall also pass. Because of my own experiences, I know life is too short for each human being on earth  not to care for one another; this was a shared idea between me and the now deceased. The event of one of my dearest friends passing serves as a reminder that everyday one wakes up is another day to claim victory, and that's exactly what I'm doing today, claiming my victory.

  1. Death of a loved ones is always difficult. It leaves a gap that is difficult fo fill. You are showing lots of courage in your narrative while expressing deep feelings. I learn that the emotions coming up with such situations are always acceptable, but what we do with them is the question. Acceptance helps to eventually move forward and find victory, as you have named your post, which I find well rounded on the level of presentation.

  2. What an inspirational post! Often times I am met with issues that would otherwise bring me down, but I also have the optimism to not let them knock me off my feet. I agree with you, life IS too short to not care about others. I can clearly see you are a kind, warm-hearted person, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you continue writing throughout your life.
